Welcome to Follow Your Gut. I'm your host Juniper. Today I can't wait to share this short, sweet story with you and help you feel more equipped when and if a UTI comes on in yourself or anyone in your family.
The other night my daughter pulled me aside and she said, Hey mom, can I talk to you? It's this really sweet thing that all of my kids do when they need my undivided attention. Hey mom, can I talk to you? And it's usually an emotional need, is very rarely a physical need, but what we do is we go sit in the bathroom, we close the doors, we sit on the floor, and we just hunker down and they just have all of me. So my daughter, she tells me that she had just gone to the bathroom and it her pee it hurt really bad and there's like a tinge of blood in her pee and her stomach hurts really bad. So she's kind of scared. Of course she's never experienced a UTI and so that of course can feel kinda scary.
I asked her if that was the first time it felt that way, how it was earlier in the day. And she said when she woke up that morning, it was like it kind of was stinging to pee, but it got worse over the day. And then that was the first time that she saw blood was that night. And so I just gave her a hug and you know it's okay. This is called a urinary tract infection. It's probably because we've been swimming in the river so much, we've been swimming in the creek and we haven't been showering very frequently. We've just been like so full on in all of the summer, right? And so I told her that she can take a shower and use wash bar soap to really s like really, really wash her vagina and then make sure she rinses it really, really well. And then after she got out, I had her apply a bunch of magic stuff, like a quarter size of magic stuff, all over and in her vagina. And then right before she went to bed, I had her drink half a cup of cleanse because we want to saturate the bladder while she's sleeping. She woke up in the morning and she was better. That whole experience was just very, very surreal for me to be able to meet my daughter with so much. I mean, I just it I wasn't concerned. I wasn't like there was nothing in me that felt alarmed or that was questioning what do we do here. It was this grounded, okay, well here's the solution. Because I already have a protocol for this in in my business. It's in my course that comes free with the gut rebalance kit. There's an acute section of how to use the supplements and the products for more acute situations like a UTI.
And it was just this moment of, I have, you know, my family and I, we take all we use all of the products and the supplements every single day, but it's always for it's preventative, it's proactive health. It's very rarely that we experience something like a UTI or an ear infection that we get to actually use the supplements and the products to get through something, you know? And so That was just a very surreal thing because it wasn't just going to the medicine cabinet and pulling out a bunch of different random different brands and different things. This I healed my daughter with something that I created. And I think that's a a side of being a business owner that nobody really talks about is when you get to really use what you've created. And again, we live and breathe this every single day. And so I forget the significance of it. And it's these moments where we really get to we really get to see the power of the products. That it was just a surreal like, wow. I mean it almost makes me emotional that I'm I'm really proud of what I've created. I'm proud of the mother that I get to be with this health freedom, with this health independence, and having these products in my home and being able to share them with the world is a very surreal experience. So thank you for letting me share this story with you.
And I'm happy to share this so that you have a protocol you can follow when and if a UTI settles into your body or anyone in your family. So if you want to jot this down in your notes or if you have a journal or like a medicine cabinet notebook or however or if you just wanna save the this podcast episode and come back and listen, so to recap, you are going to immediately, as soon as you notice the onset of symptoms, you want to take a shower or a bath, wash with wash bar soap, really, really wash your vagina, and then really, really, really rinse it. The rinsing is equally important. You don't want soap residue sitting on your vagina. After you get out of the tub or shower, you are going to apply a quarter amount of magic stuff all around and in your vagina and then you're gonna want to leave that bottle of magic stuff sitting on the back of the toilet because you're going to reapply all around and in your vagina every time you go to the bathroom right before bed after you've gone potty like when you're literally ready to step into bed drink a half a cup of cleanse.
It's going to saturate your bladder overnight and help clear the bacteria. If you wake up in the morning and symptoms are still there, you want to drink another half a cup of cleanse, get in the shower, follow the whole process again. And you're gonna want to do this morning and night until symptoms subside, and then one more time.
Because oftentimes what will happen is you start feeling really you start feeling completely better. And you think, okay, I did it, I'm done. But those, the bacteria, especially in your bladder, for a UTI, they are resilient and they're opportunistic. And so you just want to give it one more half cup of cleanse, one more good wash in the shower.
One more application of magic stuff to make sure that it's completely gone. And you can follow this for as many days as you need.
Now, before I go, I just want to remind you to please use your intuition, to use your best judgment. You know your body, you know your child's body better than anyone in the world. Use your own discernment. If there comes a time where you intuitively in your body know that antibiotics are needed, it's okay. It's okay, and I encourage you to listen to your best knowing.
I fully trust this protocol. I have seen countless women heal from UTIs and chronic UTIs using this protocol.
And in witnessing it heal my daughter so quickly, I believe in it with my whole heart and my whole being. But above all else, I always want to encourage you to listen to your own best knowing.
If antibiotics are needed, It's going to be really important for you to rebalance after, like immediately following the antibiotics. So you'll start rebalancing the day after the antibiotics end. This is really, really important to restore your gut microbiome and heal any damage from the antibiotics. This is when UTIs become chronic is when there isn't intentional healing after the antibiotics. Now, if you are someone that is experiencing chronic UTIs, it's not that you just have a UTI problem. You are experiencing chronic UTIs because there's an overgrowth of bad bacteria, yeast, mold, fungus, or parasites in your gut, and it's deeply influencing the microbial growth in your bladder. And you're going to continue experiencing chronic UTIs until you go deeper, until you go to the root of why they're coming on in the first place. That's what rebalancing does.
Alright, my friend, you now have a go-to protocol for when and if a UTI sets in. You know what to do if antibiotics are needed.
And you know what to do if you are experiencing chronic UTIs. Thank you for being here with me. I'll catch you next week.
